PCSI Staff Complete QPR Gatekeeper Training

Posted on: July 21, 2026

PCSI staff participating in QPR suicide prevention training at the North Craig Street office.

As part of PCSI’s ongoing professional development program, staff recently completed QPR Gatekeeper Training sponsored by NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer. The training helps participants learn how to recognize warning signs of suicide, respond with care, and connect someone in crisis with appropriate support.

PCSI staff work with individuals and families who may be facing a wide range of challenges, including financial stress, housing instability, food insecurity, unemployment, health concerns, and other difficult life circumstances. Training like QPR helps strengthen our ability to respond thoughtfully when someone may need help.

PCSI is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this important training and continue building staff knowledge, compassion, and preparedness in service to the community.
